The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) announced a series of reforms late last week to streamline administration and augment consumer protections. When releasing the measures, DCC Director Nicole Elliot said:
āCaliforniaās cannabis industry has grown and evolved significantly since the early days of legalization, and our regulatory framework must evolve accordinglyā¦By eliminating duplicative requirements and enhancing sanitation standards, we are reinforcing and enhancing consumer safety standards and fostering a more efficient regulatory system.ā

Minnesotaās plans under scrutiny š¬
Minnesota is not following the traditional path to cannabis legalization. Heck, they already have widespread hemp-derived, THC products throughout the state. Plus, they plan to allow tribal nations to open dispensaries off-reservation. The Star-Tribune covered the āfairness complaintsā that come along with the tribal nationsā part of MNās plan.

Wisconsin addressing key legalization concerns š
As Wisconsin continues their conversation about legalization, a new survey from AAA is scaring some legislators. The survey found that 85 percent of cannabis users drive the same day they use cannabis. With 53 percent say they consumed it an hour or less before driving. Cannabis cost effective for PTSD š©ŗ
A Leafwell study published in the journal Clinical Drug Investigation, found that cannabis was a cost-effective adjunct therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder. Marijuana Moment covered the study. The lead author of the study noted: āThis article suggests that, for the vast majority of types of products, there is pretty solid evidence that medical cannabis is cost-effective, meaning thatā¦adding these items to [patientsā] drug formulary would be advantageous for not only the patientābecause of the lowering of the costābut also advantageous for health insurance.ā
